  • Charlotte Surgery Center – Wendover, Facility Services.
  • East Carolina Anesthesia Associates, Anesthesia Services
  • Your surgeon’s office: his/her fee for performing your surgery.
  • Your pathologist: services for tissue specimens removed during surgery requiring further examination.
  • An extended home health care service.
  • Durable medical equipment vendors.

What type of credit cards do you accept?

Do you offer payment plans?
Financing options and payment plans are offered through a partnership with CareCredit. You may pre-apply for these services by visiting the CareCredit website at: www.carecredit.com prior to the date of service.  Certain qualifications do apply.

When should I expect my first bill?
We will bill you any balance due after your insurance company has paid your claim. There may be a delay if your insurance company has paid us incorrectly and we have re-submitted your claim for a corrected payment and allowance determination. For any post-surgery billing questions, please contact our billing office at (704) 754-5134.

Do you charge interest?
No

What charges are due at time of service?
As a courtesy to you, our Business Office will verify your benefits prior to surgery and submit insurance claims on your behalf.  A financial counselor will contact you at your number of record to discuss your visit estimate.  Any unmet deductible amounts in addition to co-pays and/or co-insurance amounts must be paid on or before the date of service.  Any remaining balances due after insurance payments must be paid in full within forty-five (45) days.

What is your Elective and Cosmetic Surgery Procedure Self-Pay Policy?
Self-pay accounts for  elective, cosmetic and non-insured surgical procedures must pay 100% of the total estimated facility and anesthesia charges on or before the date of surgery.  Date of surgery payments must be made by cash or credit card.

Do you offer financial assistance?
For all payors, including self-pay, a patient may request a Financial Hardship-Charity Discount. Financial need and any discount must be verified and documented. If you would like to speak to someone to request more information regarding our charity care and financial assistance policy, please call (704) 990-7963.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

We strongly encourage you to personally contact your insurance company about your upcoming surgery. Our relationship is with you, our patient, not your insurance company. Consequently, all charges incurred are your responsibility. The obligation to assure payment in a timely manner lies with you regardless of what your insurance company chooses to do. You should normally receive a response from your insurance company within 30 days of your date of service. If you experience a delay, it is expected that you contact your insurance company to check the status of your claim and to expedite payment. Please call our Billing Office at (704) 754-5134 if you encounter a problem with your insurance company and need our assistance.

Charlotte Surgery Center’s policy is to turn over to a collection agency all accounts which are delinquent. You will be responsible for any collection fees that are incurred.
We utilize MNet (888) 816-5944 as our collection agency.
